I don't know how many American come onto PJ, and out of those who do how many of them watch this show, but the new season has started, and boy am I excited. Diddy is NOT playing around. These girls can sing and dance their asses off. Some might not be the best looking, in fact some are down right ugly. BUT. Some of those girls make me question my homosexuality. For those in the UK or other parts of the world Making the Band started as the US version of popstars and was helmed by Lou Pearlman of BSB and Nsync fame. After the band he formed in the first series went bust, MTV resurected the show by having Diddy (P. DIddy at the time) searching for a rap group. Two seasons and a million and half fights later he pulled the plug. Now he's back trying to put together a girl group that can dance like Britney but sing like Aaliyah. I saw most of the series when i was in New York. Aubrey and Andrea make it along with one other girl. All the other girls in the final are sent home because they are not good enough and another round of auditions were held as far as i can remember.

I went to college with Wanita, one of the new girls. She can saaaaaaannnnngggg.
I just hate that the previews of the new season show Diddy picking on Aundrea, my teeny little girlfriend. She is so damn cute, I can't stand it. I mean, Aubrey is smokin', but Aundrea is just adorable.

Now he's back trying to put together a girl group that can dance like Britney but sing like Aaliyah. Which seems odd, given Aaliyah was never as well-known for her voice as for her affair with R Kelly (allegedly, according to a source, etc.) and, erm, her death. I like the first series, with O-Town. Coincidentally, I quite fancied a good third of the boys they auditioned, but still... Cheerio, Michael. xxx

I am very excited for the second season of making the band 3. Aubrey is already a superstar in my opinion, so, she better make the final group. Her and Andrea were my favorites from last season.
An interesting side note, one of the new girls in the house, Shannon (she is blond, looks like Britney and Diddy had her dance by herself in the audition), was on the AI-rip off show Fame they did a year or two ago. She was the runner up to that contest, but, Johnny Wright (who was a judge) said he would give her a record deal or something at the end anyway. Interesting, she shows up here and Johnny Wright will be the group's manager...

So, has the group been put together yet then? Or are they still chosing? I actually like the thought of a new american R'n'B group P.Diddy is involved in. Especially now that Destiny's Child are no more and rembering how good Dream were.

They are still choosing the group. Three left over from last season and a bunch of new girls. I think the new group are much better singers than the last season, overall, but, I still hope Aubrey and Andrea are in the final group!
