I'm just glad that people are starting to realise that , apart from looking absolutely fucking amazing, he's also, pretty much a genius. I'm praying that he's got an album, or at east a single, to release when he comes out.

His performance of You Spind Me Round was the best thing on TV this year.

According to the Sun, Pete and Awright were making eyes at each other over a cup of tea. Sweet.
Earlier Barrymore bonded with wacky pal Pete Burns by bitching about Jodie Marsh.
Transvestite Pete ranted about the glamour girl: “She’s either thick as pig s***, needs extreme help or it’s very calculated.”
Gay Barrymore agreed, saying: “If she doesn’t want to be perceived as the whore of Babylon, she’d better start thinking.”
The pair appeared to be making eyes at each other over a cuppa.

Im told hat the Sun claimed that housemates jeered as Pete sang You Spin Me Round which was untrue. Why can't the sun just get over itself and realise that not everyone is a pot bellied, one braincelled, football shirt wearing neandethal and put this feud they have with pete to bed.

Well today, The Daily Prole is reporting that Pete could serve five years for wearing a gorilla coat - even though the story acknowledges it probably isn't real.

Don't you man a re-re-re-release. I agree though. Pete should be number one!

It probably will get released. Very much doubt it'll be number one though. I reckon top ten and a long runner thanks to downloads.

Actually, despite the fact I'm a big fan, I think I'm slowly going off him - I want to see just a little bit of warmth, a little bit of humanity. That would make me love him all the more.

So has anyone else seen the new video for "You Spin Me Round" or was it just me? It's been remixed and sounds a little pants, but interesting video.

Which version have you seen?
A few years ago, a new version was re-released which had Pete's vocals heavily altered to sound like a dalek over a very weak backing track. Is it that one?

That'd be You spin me round 2003. Which wasn't good at all.

True - I listened to it last night and it's pants, but the video is very good. Its his signature song though, you couldn't reallu start with anything else... then, if the interest is there, I'd re-release Love Come Back To Me, There Is Something In My House and My Heart Goes Bang... big shiny stompers, every one of them.

i loved YSMR 2003. it was great production. The reason people have a problem with it is probably because it is so different to the hi energy of the SAW version.
"heavily altered to sound like a dalek" - No more than a lot of other pop records over the last few years, its a good sound and fits with the other sounds.

No, I have a problem with it because in my opinion it was deeply shit. The vocals sounded like Pete was singing through a voice scrambler- absolutely fucking awful. I remember reading an interview with him and he said that the SAW version was not how he imagined the song turning out and that he didn't like it. He said the new version was the closest to how he wanted it to sound. Er, it's probably a good job for Pete that he didn't get his way first time around, isn't it? If he had, I doubt it would have been as big a hit.

also on a geeky note the quality of vocoding in 1984 was no where near as crisp as on YSMR 2003.

Praise Be that Pete won the fight. The original version is pretty much Pop Perfection and the remix is, well, it's not.

how about that showdown last night with him and Traci? My god. It was funny to watch him become increasingly infuriated by her "wow, okay, I love you" routine.

As much as I love watching Pete Burns, I feel he maybe went too far with that.

I can see why Pete would destroy Traci had she been rude but I honestly think thats just the ditzy way she is and him to just rip into her for the hell of it seemed really stupid.

Yeah, I felt sorry for her. She seems an easy target for most of them in there - he did offer the disclaimer that there's a nice girl underneath all the Californian air kissing but it was still cruel and unnecessary. I'd rather he had a go at one of the others - bloody Preston for a start who can nominate somebody for taking the piss out of Chantelle but is scared shitless of Pete and ran away when he started on Traci.

I thought Pete went too far but while I was watching Traci I really had to wonder whether she was intentionally playing the ditz. The more dumb she became the more desperate Pete seemed in his viciousness.
Chantelle seemed rather pleased with herself last night, as well. I hope someone nominates her soon because her damselle in distress bullshit is getting really irritating.

He really ought not to put his arm round chantelle so much, it is sooo obvious that out of loyalty to Jodie, she will drop him like a hot potato upon leaving the house. He should be wise enough to know this already!
I wish someone would bring up the subjects of either Sinitta or Boy George as they are supposed to be sworn enemies (of pete's) with whom pete has a history of vicious/ bitter / experience/ abuse!
His reputation preceded him, I already knew he had the (not so) hallowed unofficial title of "most poisonous person in the entire UK entertainment industry of the last 25 years", prior to entering the house. Despite this I admired his balls, that was until his rant at poor tracy whom I just wanted to cuddle and kiss better. He's in definate danger of turning into a sad embittered middle-aged old queen! Also, I do wonder if the record company are going to release the original of "Spin" or the 2003 remix on the A side, I personally think the original is the far superior version!
PS George Galloway needs to stop behaving like a ---- too!

I too want Preston to suffer. Back stabber! So he feels Maggot made Chantelle look like a 'wanker' yet he cares nothing for the fact he himself is making his own girlfriend look like the biggest wanker in Britain as he parades around with another girl on TV.
I do love Pete though. In saying that if anyone spoke to me the way he did I would absolutely rip them to shreds. I do not suffer fools gladly.
