Thank god Melisa went-she murdered 'Lately' and in this stage in the compition (im sounding like a judge im watching this too much) you cant afford to mess up your lyrics. Now all I need is Taylor and Bucky gone and il be happy

I have no idea what was going on with American Idol this week - I can't believe Lisa was in the bottom two. I thought Kellie's criticisms were unfair - I loved her performance, it was subtle and understated, which for me totally suited that song. Katharine was great as usual, but apart form that, everyone else left me a bit cold......

Miss Pickler and her bug conversation was almost surreal. She should stay in for a good few weeks.

My favourite was voted off this week boo!
I'm predicting a Katharine vs Ace finale with Katharine winning. I don't think Katharine is particularly spectacular though.

Ace is fairly pretty but won't win. I predict Chris Katherine Paris or Mandisa to win, with Kevin HAVING to go next he is RUBBISH!!!

It's the first time I've got to watch this so my initial impressions were Kevin got voted off and from what I saw I don't know how he'd got this far. Mandiva?? was brill but makes Michelle McManus look slim Buckie?? sang Oh Boy and was fair to rubbish Paris sang Fever and was fab Chris he 's a hottie and interpreted the song to completely transform it into something quite different but ace. I remember now it was Jonnie Cash Walk the Line but it was wicked. He's my favourite from what I saw last night. Katherine McPhee is beautiful and sang really well. Grey haired guy (Taylor) I thought totally sucked. He danced like a dad at a wedding. Cringeworthy and his voice didn't sound good but don't know if it was the song. Simon had Paula had a huge 'pretend' row and Simon kept telling Paula she was talking rubbish and she was. She's such a cheerleader. Lisa didn't sound good and I wasn't surprised to see her in the last 3 Kevin. What the fuck was that about? Elliot -good voice not bad performance. Bit spooky looking. Kelly did Patsy Kline which did nothing for me and I'd never heard the song before. Ace was not bad but not special in my opinion.Reminds me of the guy with the Greek name in the last series who was in the audience.
Finally Barry Manilow came across well but looked like a reconstituted car crash victim. Those considering cosmetic surgery beware.

Nope thats Taylor every week. And hes STILL in. He makes Chico look talented
Constantine. i hated him he was so slimy. You know he'd do you over. Much prefer Ace to him, althugh the high voice thing he does does nothing for me.
Paris and Katherine were fantastic this week and i dint think i could love Kellie any more then i did but yep i love her even more now! "I was like, he thinks im a coat?!"

Im glad Lisa went-i think it was her time and covering the first Idol Winner to open the show was not a good idea. Brst perfmances on the night were Paris and Katherine by a mile, and of course Kellie was great. More importantly next week is.......country week!!

Why was Katherine in the bottom two? She was so much better than the rest. Country - is that Yee Ha or is that Country and Western?

I really think that Bucky's got to go - I just can't see any redeeming features in him, but then again that rock/country thing just aint my bag. The worst of all though, has to be Ace. In spite of his name he continues to make me cringe with his over-earnest, pained performances (paticularly when he sang Satan's song, 'If You're Not The One'). He strikes me as the type of guy who would burst into tears after, ahem, 'making love'. And running his finger along his scar last week? Lord give me strength... Nice body though.

Oh I'm glad someone else thinks Ace is rubbish...all my mates think he's too pretty to go. Even though she's not my favourite, I think Kellie Pickler should do LeAnn Rimes's "Blue" this week it's perfect for her voice. Was that a big enough hit in the U.S. for her to do on the show?

So Mandisa's gone. She did nothing for me but it looks like there many be more to it than meets the eye as she has apparently been accused of being homophobic www.advocate.com/news_detail_ektid28426.aspHmmm i dotn know what to think of that. I woudnt have thought many people would have done all the reasearch into it and then not voted for her, i think most Americans's just watch the show and vote for who entertained them the most. Funny though she was always so nice to Ryan..... Anyway i cant belive Paris was in the bottom three. I know Country isnt her thing but she did a great job of what she had. Meanwhile Taylor strides though to the next round.....He truely is the Chico of this competition

Oooer at Mandisa leaving, she was never a favourite but preferred her over Bucky, Taylor and Ace.
Did you guys read about what happened at the results show? On announcing Mandisa was the one to leave, a group of girls started to chant "goodbye n****r"...disgusting :/
Anywho, my favourite throughout has been Chris. Love Walk The Line and Broken...What If kinda scared me but hey...
Taylor REALLY grinds me, like beyond belief. His 'movements' just annoy me so much, just wanna strap him up somewhere. He's going to make the top four at least though, with Kellie, Chris and Katharine. Would prefer to see Elliott and Paris in the mix, but I don't think that's going to happen.
So yeah...looking forward to Queen week! Bohemian Rhapsody has been causing a few arguments, apparently four of them wanted to do it... :/

USA Today printed the Queen songs that will be sung by the contestants this week, including which one chose "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Could be goodbye this week Kellie.....? The other's have picked fairly good songs...I think Katherine's won't be well known even though it's an amazing song. I think Ace might be in the bottom 2 though, can't see him pulling that off.

She'll be awful, but she's got such a fanbase that she should be fine. I think a boy will go this week - with only three girls, the votes aren't stretched as much. Bucky, Ace or Elliot will go.

I don't know what's going on with this show - the judges are great as normal (apart from Paula, who can barely string a sentence together - can this really be the genius who gave us Vibeology? Horny Horns!), but the performances are so lacklustre. Despite a lot of the contestants having great voices, dreadful song choices make each episode a non event. There hasn't been one performance yet that I've thought was anywhere near great. I'm going to keep watching though, because these things often improve as they go along.

Wow-Kellie pulled it off-thats my girl! Paris and Katrherine were fabulous and i enjoyed Elliot's performance aswell. I think Bucky was the right choice to go-his song was so dreary. Ace is starting to get on my nerves a bit. I predict he will go next week

Ooh, good prediction! That was the bottom 3. I think Katharine is the most likely to win, unless things change greatly. She has a similar appeal to Carrie and Kelly in that she's a nice-seeming very normal white girl - add in the good voice and she's bound to do well. Personally, though, my favourites are Paris (she's just so jolly and ace and good), Elliot (great voice and he seems sweet and genuine) and Chris (same reason as Elliot although his song choices are not great for me). I think Paris should win but I don't think she will. I do think the ones I like will do well, but I don't think any can beat the almighty Katharine, which is making me kind of dislike her. I also think Kellie will last a bit longer, probably top 5 but not much further cos she's just not up to the standards of most of the others. I think Ace and Taylor will go soon, although I do like the latter. Jessica

Taylor has a huge and devoted fan base. In my opinion, it would be a shock if he was eliminated before the final three. Simon seems to hate him, however, so it appears that he won't win.

It'll be interesting to see who goes next then. If Ace does a good song or performs last, then it'll be wide open, although I do think Elliot or Paris may sadly be more at risk than the others.
