The final three will be Chris, Taylor and Kellie, and I'll stick my neck out and say the final will be Chris and Kellie. Katharine will be fourth or fifth I think - she's very good, which is her problem - she's so note perfect that she doesn't connect. Paris, despite being a great singer , will be gone soon as well. Elliot and Ace will be the next two out though.
My prediction:
next out: Elliot
then
Ace Paris Katharine Taylor
Can't pick a winner at this point. Kellie is pretty much America's sweetheart, Chris is obviously more talented, but his song choices are dreadful, and I think he's alienating a lot of his fanbase by being so obscure.

I think Kellie has a very good chance of winning. Since Carrie's win last year AI has featured alot more country music and singers, and this taps into a large number of Americans (bush voters unfortch) that woudnt have nessserily voted before. In an ideal world the final three would be Katherine, Paris and Kellie, but i think the'll be a boy in there. I'll go for Chris

Has anyone noticed that the Americans have 'elected' 3 girl winners out of 4 seasons, and over here we don't even let the girls reach the final 3? What's that about?

Unless you're referring to X-Factor as well, which I agree is strange. I think in the U.S. they believe female singers are easier to market. It's hard for male pop singers to get a break if they're not r&b, rappers, or leading a rock band.

It's because in the US they try and pick the best singers whereas in the UK the pretty boys win. For example if AI5 was in the UK, Ace would be in with a much bigger chance... I'm not slagging the British here, I think a lot of the winners have been worthy, and Shayne is a great pop star, but Brenda was robbed in my opinion.

Don't agree with your 'in the UK the pretty boys win' analogy. Steve Brookstein and Michelle McManus don't exactly qualify for 'pretty' anything status. And Will Young isn't conventionally 'pretty' either. And though Shayne Ward probably does qualify as 'pretty', he's also a very good singer (I might agree with you that Brenda and Andy were technically as strong if not marginally stronger). As for AI5, Kellie's a competent singer, but she's not in the same league as, say, Elliott (who'd win the thing if it was based purely on vocal talent). Yet she'll likely at least be in the final more because of the 'pretty' factor than her vocal chops.

Absolutely ridiculous that Brenda wasn't in the final.
Katherine to win Idol - she's so much better, more interesting, and prettier than Kellie. Although I guess American's support the dumb one is like Britain voting for the fat one.

I disagree but on this weeks show she won me over. She was the best by a mile. Singing to her dad, with tears in both thier eyes-it was like the final had come already! I think she might win actually, if she keeps it up. Kellie hit a bo bo last night but im sure she'll be much better next week. I hope Taylor goes. Im trying my best to ignore him but it doesnt work

As much as i like Kellie and want her to win, we don't need another carrie. What we need is another Kelly or another Pop Artist.

I know - I didn't think she was that bad. Can't wait for her to leave - she's so full of herself. I love Elliot's voice, but he's never quite got it together in any of his performances. Katherine would be a predictable, boring winner. And, by the way, 'thier' should be 'their'.

Paula was completely manic. A major adjustment in the medication is needed in my opinion.

I didn't think he was that good. When she was crying and repeating "you touched me", it was a bit deja vu.

I only caught half of this but did manage to hear Taylor's performance. I think he sucks generally but didn't mind his performance this week. He stayed of course and his vote still looks quite strong for some reason.

Ooo, really liked Elliott last week, hoping he stays this week over Taylor. *Hopefully* there'll be a "shock" elimination [e.g. Constantine & Tamyra] with Taylor being the unlucky one...
It's gonna be a Chris and Katharine finale, one hopes! ...with Chris winning xD

Anyone else hating Cathrine here? She's dreadfully smug and so blatantly desperate to win that my evil side hopes that she crashes and burns dramatically this week, if only to see the expression on her face...She'll probably win though. I keep hoping that Elliot will deliver a great performance, but it never happens. Not too much to get excited about with this lot this year really.

If you're watching on ITV2 tonight...I won't spoil the results for you, but I haven't seen the show yet and I even disagree with it. Shocking result. If you're from America - shhhh! But it's awful.

My goodness! Out of the 3 men left Chris was the only one who had a potential long term career. Taylor is a freak and Elliot just lacks star quality.
Big up the McPhee baby!

Wow. I really thought Katherine was going home tonight. Glas she's still in-could she win it?
What was with Jeri Ryan getting Taylor to get another perfomance in-how unfair was that! Bitch.

Well Paris was my winner but Chris a close second. America seems to have got it wrong this year. Katharine probably won't win now, but if she is going to try she needs to pull something amazing and different out of the bag in the next week!

Once again, Cathrine was dreadful. Her rendition of Hound Dog was just grotesque, but I do hope that it appears on you tube so that I can watch it again for comedy value. And I loved Simon's apple pie comment about thesecond track - she was like a simpering prom-queen, complete with demented, scary smile and vocals that would turn milk sour at fifty feet. She may well win, but she'd be a dull winner. That being said,so would the other two. Both are freaks, but Elliot's kind of likeable and he can sing.

Chris looked very shocked didn't he. I see he's already moaning about his fans being too complacent.
It is a shame as he was the best one left and quite pretty.

A complete shock. I think this years Idol is turning into a shambles. Right from the off there were two 'stars' - Kellie and Chris, and they're both gone. The three left don't have much in the way of star quality, and I'd imagine Simon Cowell is wondering what's happening right now. All the way through the series, support seems to have been so equally spread, that the voting is completely different each week - infact, Taylor seems to be the only one with any kind of devoted fanbase.
I honestly think this is going ot be the first season where the break out stars didn't finish either first or second.....

I agree with Storm here. Kellie, Chris (and Paris) were energetic performers who I could imagine holding their own outside the show. It's very difficult to imagine any of the remaining three doing anything other than dissolving into rat-shit after the first single. Each week I'm hoping certain people will be voted out, rather than giving a shit who stays in. Cathrine to go this week please!

Katharine and Taylor are through, Elliot's out.... Boo! I was going to ask at the end of my last post for no spoilers but I didn't think it was necessary. Didn't you think people could have found that out for themselves if they wanted to know?
