Has the show been axed? It was my only way of seeing most of the pop acts mentioned here.

Yes it has - but Fearne, Sam and Mark are apparently set to present a new 3 hour programme from September that won't have the TOTP name attached to it. Rumours are that it will try and follow the Ant/Dec/Cat SM:TV formula.

Oh well. My last chance of seeing UK pop on TV has just evaporated. It's quite tragic really.
Thanks for your answer. I couldn't find anything about this on the BBC website.

Not only that but CD:UK has been axed as well. There are very few music programmes on terrestrial TV now - just Popworld and The Album Chart Show on Channel 4 late on Saturday nights.

The SMTV thing sounds good. I quite like Sam and Mark and Fearne

I used to hate Sam and Mark as presenters but since TOTPS turned into reloaded and they've had more of a chance to be themselves I've started to see their appeal.
The BBC really are trying to turn them into the new Ant and Dec - it's glaringly obvious.

The BBC really are trying to turn them into the new Ant and Dec - it's glaringly obvious. Isn't it just? I hope they've learned their lesson from the royal fuck-up that was Dick and Dom's stillborn integration into adult society.

The show has just come to a natural end - not axed, as it was due to finish in March anyway. But the show's producer has said that there are a few ideas in the pipeline, so that sound promising!
I think it'd be perfect to do a full, live 3-hour show again - ITV won't be bothering, so it'll be able to take over the WORLD!
