Gotta say I loved today's show (for the first time since the relaunch).
Really good guests, Alex and Alexa seem to be relaxing into it now and finding their own style, and they have finally stopped recycling old items eg the dire Will on a Hill.
I loved the Eurovision bit (although DJ Daz is a bit scary, did you know he won over 50% of the public vote?), the Pet Shop Boys were on top form, Matt Willis rocked and is looking fit again and the Furtado's video is Janet Jackson-style excellence.
Alex Zane is so cute, like a puppy, and I even liked Alexa this week (she could be better than Miquita).
Keep this up and the new show could actually work.

Daz Sampson is wonderful! He was in the paper recently talking about cutting heads off of horses and sticking them in gardens if you fucked with him.
What's not to love? I agree with you Jack, PopWorld could still be rather good.

It was up and down but I loved it when they dressed up as the italian tv hosts. Alex's hairband and orange face were evidently a tribute to that guy off Eggheads. The chemistry between them is great, they just need to try and remember that they are on tv. They can be a bit too injokey if you catch my drift.

Yes I'm glad someone put a thread up. Yes it was excellent and also I can't believe that people like that Nelly Furtado song. It's trying far far too hard to appeal to the R&B market and I hate it.
But popworld yay! espiaclly the Daz Sampson Eurovision bit at the start. Daz Sampson is right though about the crapness of Eurovision and at leats we know he is utterly determined to win it instead of using it as a thing to further his career which Costa and Marsh would have done.
If it doesn't work out for him he'll just change his name and go back to making records that way.
But popworld Yay! Although my brother mentioned one thing about Popworld in the introduction the first thing you saw was Simon and Miquita that hasn't happened yet but i think it could happen soon

I have to admit that after slagging it off at the start - Popworld is starting to setlle down slightly.
I find Alexa much much better than Miquita ever was. Plus I think Alex has stopped with the forced jokes now and lets it come much more naturally.
I just find Daz Sampson very scary.

It's definitely improving. I suppose we should have suspected it. When Simon and Miquita started the show took a while to find its feet.
Alex wasn't as useless as he normally is, and I'm liking Alexa more and more each time. I thought she alright to begin with and I really, really like her now.

I'm glad people are starting to warm up to Alex and Alexa (and the new look - can't really call it a new style - in general). After all, without Popworld, what are we really left with anyway?
I admit the first couple of shows did resemble car crashes, but they were only minor ones, with the drivers being treated for tiny cuts and bruises and slight concussions, rather than a full blown pile up. However, I caught the last half of this week's show and found it much more agreeable. I liked Alex's final "The majority of the band are from Sussex" delivery and having visually warmed to Alexa ages ago, I'm now warming up to her as a presenter as well.
To be honest, Miquita was starting to piss me off a while back - whenever I tuned in she was reduced to hopeless convulsions of laughter at Simon and seemed unable to get out even partial phrases during links. Of course, I am still missing Simon, but c'est la vie (and don't we need a cover version of that sometime? Anyone?)
Here's hoping the show goes onwards and upwards.

Alexa has got style. What were those cut off shorts and leggings that Miquita wore every show all about? They did absolutely nothing for her.
Glad that other people are enjoying it more now - I think the guests really helped this week too. Next week's sounded a bit grim though!
