I really liked Katherine Jenkins, Javine and Liberty X's versions. In fact, Javine's 'Vogue' was brilliant.
I didn't like the cheap soap stars though. Or G4. They could have easily pulled Rachel, Geri, Girls Aloud, Bedingfield v2.0 or LSL in to do somethign if they'dve tried. Or Cheeky Girls 'Holiday' - that would fucking rule.
I was hugely disappointed. It should've been so great. Like Discomania. But it was shoddy. Like Abbamania 2.

Well I endured this so called "show" too. It was pretty shit. Apart from 2 acts. Javine gave a polished performance and the dance routine was excellent, and Katherine Jenkins sang everyone out of the building. To me it looked like only Katherine and G4 sang live. I'd think it was very difficult to mime opera. G4 were atrocious, they took everything great out the song and turned it into an abomination. I really can't stand that blonde git! At least Katherine's choice of song suited the opera style.
Out of the soap girls, Nikki Sanderson was probably the best, but that's not really saying much. They were all crap mimers, and Nikki didn't even bother to fix her head mike!
Liberty X were alright, but it was just mediocre at best. Are they ever going to release anything else?
So all in all, disappointing. ITV really should think twice about having soap stars on this kind of show, as it just turns it into a karaoke competition!
Nothing will ever beat the original Abbamania way back in 1999...

Im not really up on all these manias anymore because of the lack of postars but do end up buying the albums if it has at least one pop act i like. Are they still releasing the cds to accompany the tv series then? last one i bought was discomania.

Like most ..manias it was pretty crap but still extremely watchable.
Javine's opening was great and although it could be argued not the best ..mania performance ever it was by far the best 'tribute' they've ever done in the real sense of the word.
You could just tell that someone had really studied the various Madonna performances of the song over the years and taken ideas and used them to create their new routine which was up there with Madonna's own.
Real thought and effort had been put into it even down to what Javine was wearing.
It was everything a tribute should be!
The rest was a bit slapdash but I am now in love with Katherine Jenkins, she's lovely.

How embarrassing was that everybody-join-in version of "Holiday" at the end? Some of the people looked quite uncomfortable, especially the Liberty X and G4 boys (although one of the fat ones seemed to be getting pretty into it by the end).
I wish these shows were just about the music (crap as it may be), instead of all the extra nonsense like the performers giving insightful comments into reasons for Madonna's success - "She's so sexy!" etc.
And Ian Wright presenting? No bloody thanks.

I shall hold my one lonely hand up amongst the entire nation and say that I loved G4's version of Crazy For You. I love their voices, I love that song, and I want to bear Jonathan lots of lovely blonde babies.
Katherine Jenkins was brilliant, I quite enjoyed Liberty x (or rather Kevin, and I definitely mean the voice as he's getting progressively mingier) and I'm sick of the sight of Nikki Sanderson. And I hate Ian Wright. Javine's dancing was great.

Poor Sammy Winward (bless 'er) she can't sing can she ? G4 were awful, as I expected, Javine was good but overall it was pants.
Poor Madge must have been cringing, hopefully she didnt bother watching and went to the local disco to hear the real things !

I tried watching it all twice, but failed on both occasions, first time due to the achingly bad G4 and then down to oneof the Corrie tarts...bored the hell outta me.
Javine was actually entertaining, but I wish I'd seen the Frozen tribute...and less of Ian Wright.
