This show was just on MTV Hits and although I missed Ben Adams, I did catch an excellent new group called Dear Eskiimo. Their sound is pop with a few other styles mixed in. I won't go on about them too much but they are very cool, will probably get nowhere, and are my favourite band of today. I think they'll be very popular with the PJ viewers, although the girl is not the best live singer but they have videos on their web site, www.deareskiimo.com where you can get a better grasp of their very ace songs. Other acts on the show were Jem, Lady Sovereign (I'll say it in advance: shut up Dr Bastard) and El Presidente. It's repeated tomorrow at 6pm but I think that's the last time it's on. If anyone else can find another showing please tell me as I'd like to see Ben since I missed him but 6pm tomorrow clashes with Hit Me Baby! Jessica

Dear Eskiimo are ace!
I was at the showcase with our Ann, and they were the best thing there, after good ol' Ben Adams of course. They are like nothing I've ever seen before, dj, acoustic guitar, funky vocals all mixed into one big pot of fun. I love 'em!
Don't get me started on the Sovereign, she's just shit! And she doesn't was her hands after going to the toilet. Fact.

Steph! Hurrah! I actually thought of you when I was watching this as I remember us getting excited about Triple 8's appearance on the same show 2 years ago and I wondered if you and Ann might go to this to see Ben.
Dear Eskiimo are a bit like the British Boomkat but from visiting their site they seem to be more consistent.
I'm not overwhelmed by Sorry at the moment but I thought I Don't Wanna Say was good. It could have been on Darren Hayes' Spin album.

Sad Ass Strippa was vaguely brilliant but Lady Sov is really quite incredibly unforgivably shit. It pretty much goes without saying that the only reason she's getting anymore attention than anyone else on that scene is because she's a) white b) a girl c) tiny d) a tiny white girl who spits in comedy Gollum-patois.
Random was okay for five minutes though.

My heart beats for Dear Eskiimo. I really, really love them. I would advise anyone to go to their site and listen to Jo and Patience. At first, I was scared by the singing lady, but then I gave in and embraced it all. I missed seeing this on tv, did they come off well?
On a Ben Adams tip: firstly, FIT. Secondly, Don't Tread On My Toes, or Don't Step On My Toes, or whatever it is, it's just amazing. He's going to do well.

Well, she could have been a lot more in tune but their aceness was plain to see. Do you know if they have a single on the way and which song it will be? She mentioned something in the interview but I couldn't work out which song (either Jo or Patience) she was referring to. I have been singing "Jo up in my head! Jo up in my head!" all day today so I really want that to be the single, but Patience already has a good video. Jessica

They can't be doing too badly as they can afford to pay their lawyer £3000 an hour.
People should really be more careful what they set to share on p2p programmes!
