Which of the above acts do you think deserves to win the almighty (or mabye not) accolade of the winner of Hit Me Baby One More Time 2005?
Rememebr the winning act gets a single release of a AA side of their most famous hit, plus the other song that they will be singing on Saturday evening (which is NOT the same song they sang at their heat)
Opinions, as always, are welcome...
NB As ITV have scheduled this for 9pm-10.15pm, I will not be watching, and couldn't really give a toss to be honest who wins! But it's nice to find out what others think...

Shalamar rocked! But why the hell is it scheduled against Eurovision?

Its a blatant attempt by ITV to steal some viewers from the BBC. Thing is, these shows appeal to the same demographics, and I'd think most people would watch Eurovision over Hit Me Baby, which hasn't been getting fantastic viewing figures. And whilst Eurovision doesn't exactly set the vieeing charts alight, it usually does ok...

It's a stupid plan though. If they really wanted to steal viewers from the BBC, they'd put it on at 8. Who in their right mind would switch over after starting to watch Eurovision? I'm taping Hit Me Baby, but since I'd have to switch over to get the numbers or know when to, I definitely won't be voting in it.

It's gotta be Tiffany, all the way!
Maybe ITV thought that since Javine was on second, people would have finished with Eurovision by then?
but I agree, it will definitley detract from ITV's much needed viewing figures.

I really want Hue and Cry to win! But I'm probably just being biased because I'm Scottish. And I find the singer strangely attractive.
But I'd be cool with Chesney, 911 or, at a push, Tiffany emerging victorious.

I'd like Hue and Cry to win too. I am Scottish as well and I think we have the right to be biased. But even discounting the bias, I think they are pretty ace.

I want 911 to win but I think Shakin Stevens will.
I'll be taping HMBOMT but flicking between that and eurovision.

Belinda Carlisle was robbed, but since I can't vote for her, Tiffany for me please. So we have Carol, the next best thing, even though Carol used to call her Belinda Carhire in Smash Hits. Is Carol still with Ronnie do we know?

In the interests of balance, I'd like to point out that I, too, am Scottish, and I think that Hue and Cry are fucking shit.
Go Tiffany.

911 were amazing - They have to win - either them or Chesney.
911 would "fit" in the music industry more as it is today if they were to make a comeback.
Plus seeing as there only ever seems to be room for one male three piece act at a time in the music industry, If 911 make a comeback then The Noise Next Door will hopefully get dropped to make room for them.

And whilst Eurovision doesn't exactly set the vieeing charts alight, it usually does ok... It does a lot better than OK - it got more than 8 million viewers last year, which is a big hit in any terms, and is huge for a show that goes on for three hours (that 8 million is average across the show - not total). It could do even better this year, seeing as it comes on straight after Dr Who, which is also doing wonderfully.

I enjoyed the look of horror on the Shaky fans' faces when Shalamar won the audience vote. Still didn't detract from Shaky winning FFS! He was arrogant enough before this started, he's going to be unbearable now.

Vernon Kay himself said on TRL the other day that Shaky had some huge-ego that wasn't needed.
AWFUL!
