Not surprisingly, Shakin' Stevens won, which doesn't make a lot of sense, given he's just had a Top 10 album.

But was the top ten sales because of his appearance on the programme in the first place? I think it was released to coincide with his heat. If it was it was very clever marketing

Yes, it was released the Monday following his heat and he plugged it on the show as well as during all the media promotion he was doing for the show.

I hate Shakin Stevens. There isn't alot of people that are really going to buy his records. He just has a hardcore fan base. I spose it's the same for alot of the acts.
