Maybe it was my Saturday morning hangover, but despite my love for Rach I wasn't that impressed with the song or video. Maybe it was all a bit too much to take in at once and need a few more viewings but I'm just not convinced.
Worryinglt I didn't pay all that much attention to the gloves either. Or was I just looking at other parts of her?

I've grown to like the video as one of her better. But Funkydory was the best video she's had. It was inovative and a shame that it didn't do better. Damned Kelly Osboure with her shit "changes" song.
Actually, Kelly O's new song ONE WORD is a bit kick ass. but that's old news.

I don't understand how anyone could really love this video... it's alright, but it's SO terribly boring! Seriously, no offense, but a video like this would be laughed at if they tried to play it on MTV America... Since when did America have such good taste? They have Mariah's pointless new song at no.1! Then again, even that is better than Crazy Frog so perhaps you have a point... Jessica

I disagree with the posters who say it looks cheap - I'd say it looks inexpensive, but "cheap" to my mind has connotations of being tatty and half-arsed, which I don't think this video is. It's a solid concept, well-executed, and it suits the song. See, I think this video does look tatty and half-arsed. I understand that a video can be inexpensive and still look good -- Girls Aloud are a fine example.

The problem with Rachel's videos is none of them (minus NWL, which failed because of it's bad editing) is they really don't relate to the song at all. Like you could slap any song on there rachel sings and it wouldn't change the meaning of the video.
So Good, is a great video, but I don't know.
Also, I think Rachel's best 3 videos all had little "items that grab you" in them. SDMLAE- The red rope/ glass box (and giant orgy pile of girls) Funky Dory- the mirror So Good- the gloves.

I think Rachel's problem, the one thing that stops her doing anything interesting, is her lack of identity. She seems to float along with no strong image or unique selling point. We've seen her do Kylie in terms of sounds and looks but when will we see Rachel Stevens?
I blame her S Club days for her lack of charisma. She shared a group with seven people and had her personality supressed to the point where she has to say, in a robotic fashion, "We are ashamed of our boys for smoking noxious herbal substances..." blah, blah. It's a curse really. I don't think her new songs are helping her cause either.

The whole concept of Miami 7, LA 7 etc. was that they all had different characters, styles and roles within the group. All the fans could say what each of the band members were like, even if the characters were exaggerated versions of their real personalities. Their personalities certainly weren't suppressed. Jessica

When did she change the release date of this? Wasn't she originally head to head with the welsh wonder?

She was, but either there must have been a delay of promotion, or 19/Polydor didn't want any piece of Miss Church.

I rather think the latter, and I can see why. Also, interview with Rachel in the Guardian Review today tentatively states that the album is 'due in September.'

But why on earth does she feel the need to call it Negotiate With Love? Very very lazy...

Is it official that Rachel's new album will be titled "Negotiate with Love"? Just because the Guardian mentioned it, doesn't mean its true. We will need to just wait or get things verified before we start judging.

I don't like the video... I LOVE IT, it's her best video, and not cheap because the special effects in videos are expensive... try to do one...
And yeah, the album is officially called NEGOTIATE WITH LOVE... due in September
