Have a look at Daz Sampson's interview (well, we say interview - we e-mailed a few questions.... and he answered!! Bless him!) Isn't Daz the nicest Eurovision entrant since Nicki French - and best not tell the papers that the licence fee is going on transporting a few old school desks across Europe!! The Schlagerboys ps. Is that an exclusive with the single sleeve? xxx

Hmmm. Strikes me as an arrogant sod to be honest. Doesn't seem to really have listened to the other songs, so can't be much of a fan... I'm pretty sure we're going to bomb again, but I could be wrong.

Doesn't seem to really have listened to the other songs, so can't be much of a fan... He is participating in the competition, and he probably just wants to focus on his own performance and not get worked up over others' entries. I don't even like "Teenage Life" anyway. It reminds me of "Graduation" by Vitamin C too much (don't like that song either).

I know, but ha\lf of his justification for this was that he was a Eurovision fan. If I was in the contest, I'd have definitely checked out my comptetion by now, and I'm sure i'd have favourites. But maybe i'm just being a Eurogeek now. Never thought I'd say this, but it should have been Anthony Costa!

I still say City Chix or Kym Marsh, but i don't mind that he won. Plus the odds for the UK to win are pretty good (12/1).

Never thought I'd say this, but it should have been Anthony Costa! I thought the Anthony Costa song and vibe was too close to Martin Stenmark's and look what happened to him.

I didn't think it was much like his at all. Plus Anthony wasn't the worst thing in the contest.

He could check my Las Vegas strip anytime! Better than the witch-hag that haunts the Swedish entry this year... Calliach! Oh Calliach!

The Costa was much better than Daz, saying that I think Daz will do better than previous UK songs of the last few years, may even give Carola a run for her money

If anyone's interested, Daz's site has been revamped. You can see the video for the song on there too, which is apparently showing on The Box. The singles's not out till May 1st now. www.dazsampson.co.uk/

It's like Daz featuring S Club 8 now, with the boys added in. How are they planning to do live vocals? Did we ever find out?

Like the ones t.A.T.u used?

t.A.T.u. only used vocal effects for about 5 seconds.
EDIT: And they had the echo.

Raising the pitch of their voices. The Helium effect.

Apparenly the live version will be performed for the first time on April 19th at the recording of a special Eurovision 50th Anniversary show the BBC are doing. I've forgotten the name of it, but guessing randomly, Boom Bang A Bang? No, i'm not going.

Don't forget Daz's single is out today! He's doing a signing at Stockport HMV this afternoon and has a load of TV and radio appearances coming up. www.myspace.com/dazsampson

I got an official Daz Eurovision badge in the post this morning. It's what he and the dancers have been wearing on their TV appearances, apparently. Go and buy the bloody single! Just the one track from iTunes will do.

It's because it's actually quite good. I think people immediately want to not like the song and Daz. It's very catchy.

Is anyone going to Athens? You can go and have your photo taken with Daz. www.dazsampson.co.uk/2006/05/daz_and_you_photoshoot_in_athe.htmlIf you're going to Athens, be sure to take along your school uniform. There will be a photoshoot for Daz and the UK fans on Tuesday May 16 outside the Olympic Indoor Hall at 16:30. The exact location will be confirmed during the UK press conference on Monday May 15. Anyone can be in the photoshoot as long as they're wearing school uniform: white shirt, blazer, shorts/skirt, school caps and badges.

Oh for fuck's sake! Here we go again. There's nothing remotely sexy about the girls' outfits, so maybe the people who see a school uniform and automatically think it's pervy, are the ones who are sick in the head.
