The new album has the potential to be stunning. Every writer/producer must have been able to see what Britney did for Bloodshy & Avant and I presume they will want some of that. Britney should and will probably only be given the best of the best.

Britney hiding and determined to get her body back
Ok!: Pop princess or tabloid queen Britney Spears has been in hiding for a few weeks now and the question on everybody's lips is "where is she?" Sources say with an album out middle of November Britney is determined to get her body back better than ever and in record time.
She's on an extremely strict diet and is doing hours of workouts each day. The next time she steps out dont expect to recognise her says a source close to Spears. Britney is set to start magazine shoots and promotional work later next month, her new single will premiere September 2006.

I heard Higgins had met with Britney, and played her "Graffiti My Soul," but her people vetoed it before they recorded anything, as "it didn't have any repeated bits." She appparently loved it though.
There's also the Track Starz, who remixed "Me Against The Music" - apparently they recorded tracks with her, or were "due to."

Har mar superstar sounds like a good move, his second album had some very Nsync type dirty pop on it and I loved that track he did for Ben Adams (it seems like his work for other artists is much more cohesive than his work for himself.)
What about the Fat truckers? I thought they'd be getting a lot more work after the US press wet their pants all over M.I.A's album.
She needs to return Max Martin's call again as well, I think it would be nice to have one or two 'classic' Britney pop tracks amongst lots of dirty electro, huge choruses and witty rhyming couplets.

I suppose for someone like Britney its hard to make an album that will please both European and US fans, I hope we get to hear something soon, its been way too long!

''When working on Britney Spears's fourth studio album, Jive Records asked British production team Xenomania to produce a hit single. The submitted track was rejected.''
Found this on the Wikipedia page for Bloodshy & Avant. I know its Wikipedia, but still... I wonder if the submitted Xenomania track has been used. Would probably be on a Girls Aloud album, but I dont think it means Graffiti My Soul.

I think Britney & Xenomania have worked with many songs. And the Williams Orbit's songs? He worked too.
Britney should work with David Guetta or some remix for her new album

I dont think Max Martin is a good idea. She should move forward. Mar Har Superstar, Xenomania, Bloodshy & Avant and Cathy Dennis would all be superb

I don't think Max Martin would work with her again anyway - he didn't even want to work with Kelly Clarkson at first, because he wanted to shed his "pop music" maestro image.
The only Xenomania hit single submitted for "In The Zone" was "Graffiti My Soul" - because they didn't like it, they ended up asking Cathy Dennis, who then worked with B&A on tracks (two which ended up going to Rachel Stevens), and with Britney and Guy Chambers on tracks; I edited the Wikipedia page.

This is from an MTV.com article from when she was recording "In The Zone": "Spears has met with William Orbit, who produced that album - [Madonna's "Ray Of Light"] - and is said to be working with Mirwais, another Madonna producer. And Durst described his work with Spears as having a trip-hop vibe, like Madonna's "Frozen.""

Mar Har Superstar can't save himself, never mind Britney. I suppose she gets tons of already "ready" demo songs and will just pick the 15 or so she really likes. Then change some words to fit the family life/divorce/babies/sister dramas she has going on right now and ...presto! A shiny new Brit CD!

Which is kind of a nice big FUCK YOU to Britney, since although he was widely successful before and after her, "...Baby One More Time" is the song that made him a household name. Okay, well, some households. I've said this before, and I'll say until I die, but Britney really should perform "Before the Good-bye" and "I Run Away" on tour. They truly are two of her best. Come to think of it, which songs do you reckon she'll tour with? She's performed "...Baby," "Oops!" and "Slave" on every tour now...surely she'll take a break from them? She'll keep "Toxic" on the list, of course, but I have a feeling she might do "Mona Lisa" and some more random ones this time round. Could be amazing!

There were rumours that she'd pissed him off by claiming to have written "Cinderella," which was touted as the reason why he refused to work with her on "In The Zone." However, then the Kelly story came to light. Perhaps she could get some of his songs and get a different producer to up the pop on them? I really don't want her to jump on the pop/rock bandwagon. I'm sure she'll keep "Oops!... I Did It Again," "...Baby One More Time" and "I'm A Slave 4 U," although they will probably be remixed and rejigged again. I very much doubt she'd omit her most well-known tracks, but it would be good if she included some random tracks like "Mona Lisa"!

Perhaps she could get some of his songs and get a different producer to up the pop on them? I was thinking the same thing. A good hook is a good hook, whether Max puts guitars on it himself or Pharrell funks with them. To quote the poet Whitney Houston, "HELL TO THE NO!!!"

Don't know, ask Britney! I guess she gets emotional with her being all grown up and all. She real is sweet, well done the Spears parents.

OK - Just to put this into perspective... Pretty much every writer, producer, management company and publisher are submitting songs for this project. I wouldn't read too much into the fact that 'traditionally R&B' producers are submitting material (including SoulPower UK, who actually started off doing pop) - the label are quite specific on the brief for this album, so the writers will be writing songs that hit the brief (which isn't R&B, trust me on this). Cathy is working on this, as is Lisa Greene (Breathe On Me) but then again, every other songwriter is having a crack at delivering songs for her.

Britney is a pop writers dream really, she will make them a lot of money so they want to give her their best stuff. The only obstacle is and always has been Jive, whose A&R are notoriously crap.

Made her a household name as well. I've always said this, but she owes her whole career to that song. If that hadn't have been such a big hit, or if TLC or Five had recorded it seen as they were offered it before her, then I think her music career would have lasted about as long as Mandy Moore's. It wouldn't have been as big a hit if TLC or Five had recorded it, and she deserves credit for THAT video which drew a lot of attention (instead of the proposed Power Rangers spoof one), but I still think seven years down the line she's never made a song as good as that.

Steve Lunt has A&Red her all 4 of her previous albums; I don't think he's done a bad job in general, they've certainly had some amazing singles. However, approaching R. Kelly and the Ying Yang Twins for "In The Zone" was not a wise idea in my opinion, especially when he had other Shep Solomon tracks, including one which was touted as the first single.

Oh no, I smell 'urban' producer...
Britney back! (Friday April 21, 2006 10:14 AM)
Britney Spears has signalled her intention to return to the world of music by beginning work on a new album.
The pop superstar has retained her profile in the public eye in recent months in a series of tabloid stories about her family and possible TV and movie roles in front of the camera.
However, hot-shot producer Jonathan "JR" Rotem has announced plans to put Britney back on the pop map, as his works on new material for her return.
Rotem, who has worked with Destiny's Child, 50 Cent and Lil Kim and is currently producing The Game's new album, has been talking about his work with Spears.
Speaking to Billboard, he explained: "Britney is pretty much starting out right now. She doesn't have too much. It's coming along but it's at its early stages."
Britney's last proper album release was 2003's "In The Zone".
