Her web_____ could have handled better than he does), she could have done a lot better. Her web______ needs replacing urgently. Everything about the way Lisa is handled is embarrassing. I don't think she's entirely to blame, because she can only say "yes" or "no" to things that are put forward to her, and on the face of things, "Totally Scott-Lee" seemed like a fantastic idea. Her manager, despite Lisa herself seeming defending him in "OK!" this month, is hugely to blame for the way she is perceived by the general public now. Moreover, the way her webmaster operates things reflects upon her in the most negative manner possible. He's nearly had her disqualified from the charts, leaked her singles to fans (these days opting not to share any of the photographs he is given for the site in anything higher than "Worst quality JPG"), spends more time redesigning the site using pisspoor pre-made vBulletin templates than actually putting any content on it, can't string a sentence together to save his life (which could be down to a disability, fair enough, but somebody who can't spell should not be asked to write important promotional material), bans anybody from the site who does not brownnose him or Lisa... There's also higher allegations that he abuses his position as "Lisa's webmaster" and his "friendship" with Lisa to mislead fans from the message boards. But that's not for here. It just reflects so badly on Lisa.

i dont understand all the hate for lisa. her unleashed songs were great pop music and so was electric. there is barely a market for proper pop princesses these days, its very sad. for every R n B diva/Rap act that appears, another pop act is dropped. its getting to the point where no one even dares to start a pop career in the first place now.
also when even a "pop music" site like popjustice slags her off so unfairly, what chance do people like lisa scott-lee have??

She has some undeniable great pop tunes, specially the ones from the 'unleashed' sampler. But her persona comes before her music, people see her as a joke and no matter how nice her sound goes, people will refuse to give it a try or to at least 'listen' to it, as it's a Lisa Scott Lee thingy. Kinda the same that goes for Geri and Rachel Stevens, themselves doom their releases no matter how good the music is.
I'm excited for the album. It will certainly be the biggest flop we have seen in recent years but i'm def getting mine. It's a good piece of great pop music (if she comes up with her old unreleased material on it)

It's the media influence. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Kylie had recorded Electric it would have been heralded as "genius", "amazing" and "the future of pop". It's even noticeable with certain people on this board, they jump on the bandwagon with regard to whichever popstar is in the firing line.
Lisa's not a great singer or performer but Lately, Too Far Gone and Electric are great dance songs. A lot of stuff off Unleashed was great too.

I've always hated Lisa.
Her nostrils annoy me. No band-wagon jumping here. I dont like Arctic Monkeys either. There.

How about going against the grain: I actually liked "Get It On". I liked it too. I got bored of it quickly though. And the video was cheap. Looks like it was filmed at night in an Esso petrol station. Oh, and she had to fit her brothers in it somewhere.

It's even noticeable with certain people on this board, they jump on the bandwagon with regard to whichever popstar is in the firing line. That's precisely it. Just look at dear Liz McClarnon who has charted LOWER than Lisa this week in Australia, and yet Popjustice hasn't yet written an article citing her career to be over and nobody on the message board is gloating about it. I'm happy Lisa has even scraped the top 100. If she'd been out there promoting it, screening Totally Scott-Lee, and making a desperate spectacle of herself like she did over here, and THEN got #93, you'd have a right to laugh. But she's done none of that, she's had minimal exposure, not even gone over to visit and radio hasn't played the song. To get #93 is predictable, expected, and quite good considering the lack of interest she herself has demonstrated. Lisa's not a great singer or performer but Lately, Too Far Gone and Electric are great dance songs. A lot of stuff off Unleashed was great too. She performed Lately live on Top of the Pops, and it was really good with a very strong vocal. She had her entourage of dancers as well, so it looked very polished. Shame she only seems to afford two dancers these days.

Shame she only seems to afford two dancers these days. Agreed. Back in the day with Mercury, her TV performances were always very polished and well done. That one TOTP performance of "Lately" after it's charting was especially great.

I wished she'd done one for 'Electric' but she didnt. So I'd love to have one from 'Lately' If anyone can help... Thanks already

"If Kylie had recorded Electric" - she would have had the sense not to record it in the first place or if she did, it would have had better production values.
The song deservedly did crap. Even if she did promo, I doubt it would have significantly improved the song's chart position. What is LSL's biggest selling point? That she's an ex-member of Steps? Australia jumped off the Steps bandwagon after their debut album. Her personality is not an issue (with me anyway).

the productiong of the song was good, the song is a good dance song the bridge where she goes "im not gone put a fight" that has to go with just the beat riding, it has a hot beat and could do well in the U.S dance radio, very well .... the video was cheap thats a problem and thats it the vide blew the song up ,,,, if they released it to radio without video promo it coudl do well people not knowing who she is... I laughed audibly at this , well a new video and she is good .. i dont see why all these GOOD real pop artist "girls aloud" , "lisa scott lee" even bother with AUS they obviously dont care for there music, THE U.S Needs More pop so they need to scracth down under and come to where they will make it big.

Thats real cute. Girls Aloud, Rachel, Lisa..ect. will never make it in america. Not that i wouldnt love to see them here but it just will never happen. But i totally agree about the bandwagon. I read tons of post and about 90% of people on this bored just go with what the pop justice declare "amazing"

Lisa Scott Lee is a petulant brat who needs to understand that she's not entitled to be the new Kylie or have a solo career just because some mongs bought some Steps records.

But i totally agree about the bandwagon. I read tons of post and about 90% of people on this bored just go with what the pop justice declare 'amazing'. I can't believe you said that. I read PopJustice avidly (of course) but never have I just liked something because everyone else does - longtime posters here know me fine well. Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of PopJustice tipped groups/singers (Lily Allen being one of them) but nobody can say I'm a huge Rachel devotee or a fan of Frank or The Faders, each of whom were in the Almighty List. Just because people think Lisa Scott Lee/Clea are shit you can't blame the forums - it is because they are shit. Let it be known that I never liked Steps. To me they summed up all that is dull and corrupt about pop music. I know there is a tendency here to stick up for what people would consider 'pure pop' but Steps were bloody awful with absolutely no redeeming features at all.

Yeah but who wants to hear her singing Rachel or Girls Alouds songs? Lisa Scott-Lee is the definition of 'Shit' isnt she, really? She is a Primark popstar... cheap and nasty. (with over-sized nostrils). There's nothing wrong with Primark and it's getting positively cool around my mates so there's hope for LSL yet. I don't get the Schadenfreude around someone not making it either to be honest.
