Anyone know the chart positions for her Australian singles? Let's hope this collection has the UK single versions and not the crap Aus ones like on 'singles', 'Love and Kisses' and 'Success' are dreadful versions.

Aus Chart Positions:
Love & Kisses #4 Success #29 Baby Love #26 Jump To The Beat #48 This Is It #13 All I Wanna Do #11 Who Do You Love Now #15 Put The Needle On It #11 I Begin To Wonder #14 Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling #22 You Won't Forget About Me #20 Perfection #13
The info is from Wikipedia.org...a very useful website!!!
I'm assuming that those UK singles not listed weren't released or didn't chart in Australia.

It is quite surprising that her Chart placings in Australia leave even less to be desired than the UK counterpart.
Anygay - I suppose a greatest hits is better than nothing and let's face it we were so close to getting nothing that beggars clearly can NOT be choosers.
Hey ho.

A greatest hits, is this bitch joking? After years of waiting for this hyped up amazing new album, we now get this! I hope this is the end for her. 15 years in the music industry and you think she doesnt deserve to release a greatest hits?? get real!! ps its certainly not gonna be "the end for her"... it will boost her profile and help win some new fans probably.

#5. I'm looking forward to orgasming over Put The Needle On It again. If they'd any sense it would be replaced with the Jason Nevins mix of it... no, #4 behind 3 of 1997's biggest selling hits (Puff Daddy, Elton & Chumbawumba) Sorry, I thought you said Don't Wanna Lose This Feeling

When is this likely to be out? I'm really looking forward to it, especially if the rumours of a bonus DVD are true - we can chart Dannii and her amazing changing face through the ages! Supposedly June 19th - two weeks after the single 'So Under Pressure'

June 19th? I'll believe it when I see it!
I can see where both sides of Dannii fans are coming from with this release - on the one hand it really does smack of desperation and lack of faith in the new material, but on the other I can't wait to get an official Dannii 'Best Of'.
I think the whole thing would have been better handled (and perceived) if they had released a separate 'Greatest Hits' to re-ignite interest in her, then followed up a couple of months later with a whole new album.
As it is I am looking forward to the 'new' album far more than I was, and I suppose that's all that AATW want.

if you take away the old songs, you still have 8 album tracks. 2 more and it could have been the new album anyway. how stupid to be so annoyed about a couple of songs less, especially as we are getting most of the singles (and the single mixes havnt been released on their albums), plus if it comes with a dvd of dannii video's too its a fantastic package.

There's nothing wrong with a greatest hits, I suppose, but after all the delays and cancellations it does seem to tell us that AATW have little faith in Dannii's new material. If she releases anything on that label after this collection comes and goes, I will be very surprised.

I kind of get the impression that she doesn't care that much. By all accounts, she's pretty wealthy (she's sold 10 million albums in her career and translated the money she got from her Playboy shoot into some canny property deals) and she's maybe just dabbling in music for something to do. I'm sure the record labels she's worked with have had something to do with it, but the constant delays and reshuffles don't seem the actions of someone who's pursuing a music career with all their might.

the new website looks very nice, although there is still of stuff yet to be added so nothing exciting to reveal just yet. the discography is good.
the single has been confirmed as "so under pressure" though, and 5th june as expected. still waiting for album tracklist confirmation!

Hello Popsters
Its Dannii Minogue here
I hope everyone is going to buy my new lazy half arsed attempt at a pop comeback.
Yes thats right, despite mega selling world famous acts such as Destinys Child, Robbie Williams and a certain other Minogue all releasing greatest hits and watching them flop, I am releasing my greatest hits(s) package!!!one11111!11!
It really doesnt smell of ten tonnes of shitty desperation and its not a pointless attempt of trying to get the public interested in someone they really dont care about to buy my fabulous Top 40 smash hit records.
I really hope that my 4 or 5 top ten singles that no one seems to remember and a few tracks that werent good enough for my amazing new album that ive been banging on about for 3.5 fucking years will make me a pop force to be reckoned with!!!111one!!!
Love & Kisses xxx

Oh come on, give her a break. If there's any desperation involved, it's the record company's. And I can remember at least five hits by her, which is enough to sell a GH. And don't forget, 6 new tracks, that's more than you get on most GH's. As gavinh says, it's practically a new album!

Am trying to give her a break, but ive been a huge fan since the start, and normally i'd be very excited at the prospect of an offical uk greatest hits, but this release is just lame!
If as you say its practically a whole new album , with the 8 new tracks and the past 2 singles, then why not release the brand new album, it just seems they lack any kind of confidence in it.
I know ive been quite harsh, and i can see the "other point" of this argument, but if they really think that releasing a greatest hits with about 4 0r 5 songs people will recognise is gonna change the fortunes of this Minogue, then they are sadly sadly wrong.

Change the fortunes? What? All of her singles but one have gone top 20 since 1997! It's not that far from her sis' level of success. Her major problem is her record company(es) not knowing what to do with her.

If you read this thread, theres all this buzz about how its going to reinforce her as a pop icon and will win an army of new fans, but how will it?
If they arent buying her records previously, why is bundling them onto a greatest hits gonna suddenly make them buy it?
The only thing thats gonna get her noticed again is a proper ground breaking pop song, and after hearing "You cant sleep at night" and her previous 2 singles, I do fear the worst.

I think Love Fight will be the one. I haven't heard it, I just have a REALLY good feeling about it. Whether it's a big hit though, christ knows.

Oh, and I don't think that it will really win her any new fans, but I think a lot of people who didn't realise they were fans would pick it up. I think it has the potential to be one of those "loaf of bread, pint of milk, CD" records, the kind that housewives buy in supermarkets. As a part time house husband, I can tell you: Dannii makes good housework music.

I love how in the magazine covers section there is a pic of her on the cover of Smash Hits which also has a feature on Jimmy Nail in it!!
Quite a cool site though. Much better than it used to be.

As long as it's 'old' LMC and not their new funky direction this will be a winner.

See, I was fully expecting trance Dannii when she signed to AATW and so far have been bitterly disappointed! They don't seem to know what they are doing with their ageing divas - I don't like their new stuff for Tina Cousins or Dame Kelly Llorenna either. Suppose times have changed!
