dannii could make a comeback in "home and away". her character "emma" was never supposed to leave for good... quote] That would be fab, as long as she still wore the leather jacket. didnt she carry a knife or something as well? wehen she was 'naughty emma'? I always remember the episode where she turns up at the surf club party for the first time on our screens without all the goth make up and everyone gasps because she is wearing ablue dress and go 'EMMA' in a really gaspy shrieky voice and she just stands there and smiles (as she is trying to bag steven)with a really smug look on her face - then roll credits............... Actually thinking about it my early teenage years are punctuated with images of dannii....see above post also Maybe this is the reason I am a gay? 'where would danni be without her fans' SKY magazine cover - anyone remeber that?

Has anyone ever seen that 'day in the life of' thing Dannii did when I think she was in Young talent time? You see her in the kitchen eating cereal and she goes "that's my sister Koiylie, she plays the part of Charlene in Neighbours, she's always on the go!" (cue image of fuzzy permed Kylie running around the house trying to find her script or something) and then Kylie is later seen practicing her script on a giant teddy bear, very funny. Prefer that to the legendary 'Sisters are doing it' clip. I think the album will do OK but I've not seen the video once on TV or heard the song on the radio which is worrying. Have only actually seen/hear it because of YouLube.

Crystal Green- I remeber that too! Home and Away was so much better in those days the original pippa, bobbie- fisher's secrect daughter, fisher himself ... goes off on tanget.... it all went down hill when pippa was walking through the caravan park with Bobby and walked behaind a caravan as pippa #1 (vanessa downey?) and then emerged as Pippa #2 - Not only did she reappear a different woman all together with completely different coloured hair - but Bobby didnt even notice! I always prefered Pippa #1 And then there was Sally's imaginery friend - 'milka' that made her do lots of nasty things to her foster siblings... Do you remember Carly's evil twin sister Samantha? and when she held Carly hostage in a phone box - it was so funny especially since both were played by the same actress and never actually seen in the same still at the same time. ....anyway - back to dannii.

Home & Away is still good.
Last year Colleen fell down a ravine and lived to tell the tale!

there's absolutely nothing unique or outstanding about this artist's image or music at all. It could be anyone. That is equally true of the venerated Rachel Stevens who is hailed round these parts as the second coming of pop - yeah, right! I guess it's true, Dannii doesn't really do anything spectacular and shocking to stand out. No rude comments in the press, no celebrity dates, catfights, costume malfunctions, etc. There was the lesbian romp but, as one Maureen-esque commentator noted, "how boring." Still, for some pop fans, there doesn't need to be more than an inflection in her voice or a sparkle in her eye to make us love a pop star. It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it, as the old cliche goes, but I find it so often to be a true thing. To each his or her own, but I prefer Dannii's subtle charms and purely unoriginal commitment to the fun factor enough to make me a frequently interested spectator, if not a serious fan.

I think i would call myself a convert, it is because of this thread i took interest and became a light Dannii fan!
I remembered 'You Wont Forget About Me' coming out about 2 years ago and not really getting it, i pushed it aside. I used to think 'Pft, Dannii Minogue is just a porno version of her sister' and ignore her but she has some good songs, i love 'So Under Pressure' and her latest semi-hit 'Perfection' and i dont usually like dance music.
I downloaded Neon Nights the other week and it is really rather good. I have been mising out!

I was never really a fan of Dannii before but there have been a few individual tracks I really liked. Being into a lot of electronic/dance music, I loved the original 'Stringer' track and later on loved WDYNL (one of very few 'vocalisations' of dance tracks which works well.) Also liked Put The Needle On It and I Begin To Wonder.
Then with all the talk of So Under Pressure (which I love) - I checked out some older Dannii stuff (Girl era) which I had heard before, but never got into at the time. Now just try and stop me from playing 'Everything I Wanted' on repeat... so yeah, i guess im a semi-convert

I am the contrary- loved most Danni material, but don't get So Under The Top 20 at all really? under top 20? with good promo i feel like this could drop between 4-7. dannii seems to flirt with the top 10 with her singles and a stomper like this could bring her in on the lighter side of #10. plus it's the lead single off a greatest hits and these songs traditionally do well.

really? under top 20? with good promo i feel like this could drop between 4-7. That's the problem though. It's still not playlisted anywhere that I've found. Given that Radio 1 are playing Lily Allen, which isn't released until July, I think time's running out for her to get the publicity she needs. Which sucks.
