Yonah was looking gorgeous. And she was showing off her tummy bless her. Aww Britain needs a Cleopatra comeback.

Sorry, I'm a Sybil boy myself. How good was When I'm Good And Ready? She also made Shania Twain listenable. That's an achievement.

Guess the fanbase won it for Chesney. His Robbie cover was awful. Cleopatra's No Good Advice was almost as good as Girls Aloud's. It sounded like how Destiny's Child might make it sound.

Chesney won. So just Tiffany to cheer on in the final, would have made it more interesting had Cleopatra got in, giving us two GA songs in the final.

There's one more week to go yet, don't give up hope! I'm behind Shalamar so far. Isn't the final going to clash with Eurovision though?

I think that Nick Van Eede should have won. Chesney's performance was awful as he sounded terrible on both songs & he sung over the original backing track of The One & Only which i think is wrong. Nick Van Eede did both songs live and sounded fantastic on both songs.
Based on performance, Nick should have won. I hate the Macy Gray song that Nick covered but i thought it was a great performance & perhaps one of the best performances of the entire series. Now that Nick's not in it, i don't really care who wins execpt that if i were to vote, it would be for Hue & Cry even though it's gonna be Shakin Stevens.
All i hope is that Nick will get a record deal to distribute the Grinning Souls album Capture which is a fantastic album & that he does decide to re-release (I Just) Died In Your Arms as a single perhaps backed by the cover version I Try as i guarantee the song will get the justice it deserves in the UK charts as this song should have been number 1 back in 1986. Shows that the American's had good taste back then as Cutting Crew had 3 Top 40 singles & a Top 10 album Broadcast (This album is one of the best albums i've ever heard!!) back in 1987.
So British public should not forget Nick Van Eede in a hurry. Grinning Souls should hopefully be known by the end of the year.
all the best WorldMachine

I can't believe Cleopatra didn't get through they were the best all round performers- it will be talent wasted if nothing comes of the girls!

I'm beginning to tire of this show, the performances have always been disappointing to me. I think I'd prefer my fave acts of the past to stay as good memories and not be tarnished by crap performances.
This week Cleopatra were my faves, they looked really good, far better than back in 1998. Sybil seems like a right laugh, and at least she tried something different with her performance, rather like Gloria did back on the first show.
As for Chesney, bland is probably the best word to describe him. He doesn't look as good as he used to either.
Kelly Marie looks different compared to when I saw her back in a dingy gay club in 1999, what was that hair about?
So overall, not too impressed with the line up for the final, I'll be supporting Tiffany but it probably won't matter anyway as the final is on Eurovision night, and unless the show finishes before 8pm I won't be watching it!

Why the fuck do these ITV music shows insist on the audience clapping along to the entire song? It was particularly annoying during the MadonnaMania show, but was really off-putting during the show tonight too.
It's so irritating because it's really noticable, and almost drowns out the music itself - and is not the normal reaction that an audience would have on this kind of show.

"Don't go changing, rearranging, hold on to a love sensation". One of my favourite lyrics EVA!!!
Sadly I fear they may be a bit crap.

I think all of 911 are going to be on it, there was a split second of Jimmy's mouth on the 'coming up next week bit'....look out for me in the audience, I'll be there for 911 and Nathan! I might attempt bodyshaking, but most likely not. I could never do it before, even more unlikely as I get older! Babyclyde where you there last week?? If so where were you stood? I was hiding on the 2nd row!

Did anyone think that Kelly Marie looked a bit rough? Bless her.
I had to call my mate and check he was watching it when she came on stage. In the past she always had two male dancers by her side dancing about. Now 25 years later she has two men to help her waddle down the steps...
As far as I know she has still been recording and has done works for hi NRG label Klone Records.
Did anyone notice the mistake in the show when it was broadcast? Just as the show finished a few seconds of Vernon announcing that Chesney had won were shown then the ads started. Spoilt the suspense.

I wonder if they'll cover his kerb-crawling arrest during the 'what they've been up to since they were in the charts' bit? Oh - and there's an interview with 911's Jimmy in the Guardian today (click here)

The screamy woman sitting next to me was Angie Brown and I had to vote for Sybil as they are really good friends and we went with her. Cleopatra were clearly the best though.
