A man with taste! I'm looking forward to Belinda next week too- wonder what current song she'll do? Once I touched Belinda's boot. She wasn't that impressed as I remember. Thank God the Belinda tributes are starting to appear. I imagine she'll do Heaven is a Place... Cover-wise I would commit violent acts to see her sing No Good Advice. Oh Belinda. I love her and her overly botoxed-face. Second round, second gingerette though?

It's not all bad I've found. I've made my mother proud. I'm friends with Girls Aloud!

I think it's great that she's in because how can she possibly lose. Firstly she's got I Will Survive which will bring the house down and she can outsing everybody else (Apart from Mica) so her version of a new song is bound to be great. I forgot to take into account that she might be fucking awful. What has happened to her voice. Shocking !!!

I'd love to see a video for "Love Machine", it could be set in a C&W bar, with Tiffany singing along, a load of dancers, and Girls Aloud downing a few at the bar. It would be ACE.

Belinda doing No Good Advice would be awesome- imagine her 'frankly I don't even care'! Sadly though I must reprimand you for claiming that Belinda's had botox. I think you'll find that 'these cheekbones just hold up my face. I've never had surgery though I wouldn't rule it out in the future'. It's right up there with 'I wanted to show fortysomething women that you don't need to be size 0 and 18 to be sexually viable and viable as a woman' (on why she did Playboy) in the most repeated Belinda bon mots.
I also love the idea of Tiffany doing a country version of Love Machine, and the country bar video idea sounds cool. As long as someone somewhere doesn't think it's a good opportunity to bring back linedancing, it'd be fantastic.
Hopefully Belinda's 'autumn sunset' locks won't count her out next week!

Seriously, back in 1987-8 I didn't know who, Tiff or Belinda I liked most, I was obsessed with them, the songs, the looks, the videos, everything... I remember listening to their tapes over and over... Madonna (my no 1 obsession then ...and now) was on a break so I was allowed too, hehe - I was very strict about things like that then!

I stand corrected and inspired.

Many Thanks for posting that address. I know how to get tickets for BBC shows but never ITV. Does that website deal with Stars in their Eyes and Pop Idol too.? Pleased Tiff won but Gloria Gaynor gave a good version of Beautiful

Considering the Go-Go's antics put Girls Aloud and most premiership footballers headline to shame, I agree No Good Advice would be perfect for Belinda.
It'd be interesting to have seen her to White Flag too, considering she more or less launched Rick Nowels as a songwriter. Or I Never Felt Like This Before.

Believe me I'm spent too much time reading Belinda interviews not to know some of her chat by now! I always thought Life Is A Rollercoaster, another Rick Nowels tune, would have suited her. As for her choice of current song, I'd love to see her do No Good Advice of course but wonder if she'll go for something more mid-tempo? Never Felt Like This Before would be a goodun for Belinda I think.

Do you think there is any chance she could sing Our Lips Are Sealed rather than Heaven ...?

She'd be stupid not to do Heaven, too many people love the song. I'd prefer Leave a light on, Cirlce in the sand, Do you feel like I feel, ...even You'renithing without me or Half the world, she has so many good tracks but Heaven is the way to go.
She can sing some Avril/P!nk for her cover.

In an ideal world she would do (we want) The Same thing followed by No good advice.

Sorry all of you! Shakin Stevens is going to win this! He was the best selling artist of the 1980's and still has a great voice - ALthough, to be fair, his only real competition this week will be Belinda Carlisle and in any other week I will have voted for her!

It's definitley Belinda v Shakin Stevens, I hope Belinda wins, but I predict it will be close. I like Jaki Graham but she's not well known enough, neither is Junior. Doctor and The Medics had a big song but they were one hit wonders.
Are those results genuine this week? I thought Tiffany would have won by a landslide. I thought Howard was a bit off, White Flag was a bit too high for him. He does have a lot of fans though...

definately between Belinda and Shaky but I want Shaky to win! I was surprised that Tiffany won even though she did a great version because I would have thought that she wasn't so popular as Howard Jones - I think covering a Girls Aloud track may have helped - and the fact that she doesn't look too bad might have helped her too!

Random thought - why did no-one "Eric Prydz" Howard's What Is Love yet? Or am I wrong?

Those votes were very close, but Tiffany was the deserving winner. I only caught the results show, and thought she did a great job with Love Machine.

I don't think it was any surprise Tiffany winning. I Think We're Alone Now is such a well-loved song. She is pretty hot these days as well, it has to be said, but I don't think that's why she won. It's the song.

Props to Miss Tiffany. Girl still lookin' good. Miss Gloria was lookin' damn good too though.
I heard Miss Tiffany singin' Love Machine and gettin' some words wrong. Did I hear something like "Gotta hang about in my car" 'stead of "Gotta hang about in limbo"? I am sure girl said car.
I ain't surprised those Honeyz are on a show like this cos I gotta say - they was whack!

i think if HoJo's second performance wasnt so weak he could have easily won it.
Tiffany, yuck im not a huge fan. My hairdresser said she used to like her because of how she'd always look a bit rough on her pics, chipped nail varnish etc

He did not say he was singing Green Door he said he was singing This Ole House - they showed a clip of green door at the beginning maybe that is where you have been mistaken.

is it just me, but i thought that this show was about reviving pop carerrs from the 70's and 80s etc, the honeyz were only dropped 2years ago, they could still come back without this show to help them. i do like the hoenyz, especially wont take it lying down, but other people deserve to win,
thats it, they were dropped in early 2002 .

Just think, if Carol Decker gets through her heat we could have an all ginger final.

Shakey was being a bit of a tosser on GMTV this morning I thought. Far, far to eager to promote all his bits and bobs and I agree about his hair being too black.
