There's a practically HQ rip at, er, the usual place now... Wasn't sure when I heard the first dodgy radio rip but now I'm blown away by it!
Amazing. Let's hope they can get Radio 1 to play this one.

I love it. Sounds so genuinely 80's it could be some sort of lost unreleased gem from way back. Sounds also like an excellent choice for the first single. Haven't heard it yet? Go here. On right there's "Hör senaste programmet". Click "22.10 – 23.00". The song starts about. 18:55.

It's great, the chorus is a bit of a let down but apart from that it's brilliant.

Amazing. Let's hope they can get Radio 1 to play this one. It's wasted on those dunderheads. Remember: Target audience IQ 50-70.

I don't quite know what to make of it yet. I'll listen to it again tomorrow at full blast. It should help.

Let's hope the video does what Madonna chickened out of doing.

Let's hope the video does what Madonna chickened out of doing. Maybe they'll use the Little Britain characters as rumoured for Minimal. If they do go down *that* route with the video as well, then I hope it's not as 'obvious' as Shoot The Dog... You see what I find so great about this song is that like many of the classic PSB tracks it CAN be read as a simple love story (gone wrong) but look deeper and you'll find something else. Pet Shop Boys have found their subtlety again! The subtlety that was so very, very missing on songs like Metamorphasis, The Night I Fell In Love and In Denial.

on first listen, iv got a feeling im gonna love this...but the production hit me more than the song, it feels like its psb back to the 80s, and thats obviously a VERY good thing!

Let's hope the video does what Madonna chickened out of doing. Well, it's more easily done now isn't it? When Madonna tired to do it, she was in the minority. History has taught us all. As for it being subtle, wow! I think it hits you like hammer. At least sonically. it is a total tribute to their sound a la 1990.

Thanx for posting the radio address!
I gave it a few seconds and lost interest. I liked the DJ; all I understood was 'Pet Shop Boys', 'Morrissey' and 'heterosexual'. I laughed audibly at this Morrissey's new song is fab!

dunno. men(particularly grown men) singing pop rarely does it for me. Well I'm guessing some youngsters who don't know PSB will be shocked to hear a man singing "Are you not Mr Right?" in a song. Will Young would be appalled!

First listen was 'it's alright' .. With repeated listens - 'This is AMAZING'
I can't get that chorus out of my head!

Loving it - it's great! Though I did feel that it could have done with some sort of power instrumental/breakdown section after the 'special relationship' bit.

It's a genuine old skool PSB single really - Trevor Horn's production complements their sound perfectly. I love the spoken sections 'love comes love grows' and like Pato Banton says, it's beautifully constructed whereas some of their more recent songs have been contrived.
Of course, it works best imagining Phoney Tony cooing to his beloved.....*winks*

OMG! It's got orchestra hits and it sounds like 'Behaviour' and 'Actually' at the same time whilst not being crap and dated! It is officially an amazing song!
Does anyone find it weird that, while most singers' voices get deeper as they age, Neil's has climbed an octave or two? You've got to love autotune...

it really reminds me of a b-side they did called 'miserabilism'.
its certainly a grower and as a PSB fan i like it - but I don't think it will appeal to anyone who isn't a fan already. bit disapointed after the sheer brilliance of miracles and flamboyant.

It really reminds me of 'Domino Dancing', production wise at least. There's not really that much else I can add - another classic PSB single.
