That's the funniest explanation that anyone's ever given as to why Neil could be seen as sexy!

About the video clip I hope is a joke but speaking of psb you can imagine everything!!! about neil sexy...well chris is one millions times sexy and more affective than Neil with the fans, the pictures from the magazines are all of them just great and I thought the pics in the album will be like this but is all so dark... The idea is good but is so dark..about the songs I dont have the album yet to listen About Neil reading this....very possible...except my forum he reads everything in the net about psb lol

I don't know if this has been discussed already but is there any chance of a tour to promote this album?
I saw them in 1999 and they were awesome. Would love to go and worship at their altar again!

I don't know if this has been discussed already but is there any chance of a tour to promote this album?! There's every chance of a tour. Some summer festivals have already been announced (including one in Belgium, yippie) and a full tour should follow in the autumn. Glastonbury being out this year, I'm not quite sure what festival they could play in the UK though... Is there still a dance festival in the summer? They did Creamfields a few years ago. You'll find more information on their official website. www.petshopboys.co.uk

Yay! More details from the site:
A special edition of the new Pet Shop Boys' album, "Fundamental", will include a bonus dance album, "Fundamentalism", containing six remixes and two new tracks. The full track-listing is as follows:
1. Fugitive (Richard X extended mix) 2. Sodom (Trentmoller remix) 3. Psychological (Alter Ego remix) 4. Flamboyant (Michael Mayer remix) 5. I'm with Stupid (Melnyk mix) 6. In private (Stuart Crichton club mix) 7. Minimal (Lobe remix) 8. Gomorrah (Dettinger remix)
"Fugitive" was originally written at the beginning of last year and was recently completed with Richard X. "In private" is Pet Shop Boys' own version of the hit they wrote and produced for Dusty Springfield in 1989. It features vocals by Neil Tennant and Elton John.

"In Private" featuring Elton John? Something wonderful has just died a tragic, gory death. I dont going to listen this for sure... About psb and Usa,is true they dont have emi there but the label they have there have some problem with psb new album, read this: Pet Shop Boys released a special message for their U.S. fans on their web site last week. "We would like to inform American Petheads that the USA release of "Fundamental" is under advanced discussion at the moment," writes the duo. "We're hoping that it will be released in the USA on the same date as the rest of the world. It is planned that Pet Shop Boys' world tour will begin in North America (Canada/USA/Mexico) in October." The reports I have received from London for weeks now have finally been confirmed. EMI has been extremely tight-lipped about the U.S. release date of PSB's much-anticipated new album. Reasons for a push-back may include the global demand for the band, an unfinished US tour schedule or possibly the music itself. According to an EMI rep, the duo went back into the studio to continue working on the record even though full-length advances of "Fundamental" were already distributed earlier this year. The buzz for the album has been strong, but it might have been that some tweaking was needed to satisfy the market. Additional studio time might also have been necessary to record B-sides or U.S. specific bonus tracks. In any event, I'm hoping EMI is not making the same mistake that Mute made with Goldfrapp's "Supernature" that was released months after the European release. It sucked the life right of the momentum that the band had going, and I even dare to argue that it has spoiled a big, fat debut for Goldfrapp in the U.S.. As I said a few posts ago: Pet Shop Boys are not with EMI in the USA. They are with Sanctuary. Are you sure ? They were for Release and Disco 3, but isn't the Santuary Record Group in a major financial crisis* and wildly scaling back their artist roster and release schedule? *It lost £143m last year

I love them, but I don't think of Neil as hot. /rant If your idea of "hot" is stuck in some Genre magazine swimsuit spread with barely legal 18-year-olds, then ok To be honest (and sorry to chip in with a comment that is at best random) but I think Neil's is! Well, definitely Chris' (if you add scally into the mixture). Did you see him giggling about Preston on the Dusty Springfield South Bank Show? And he thought Young Offender was a sexy title. Hmmmm. Aaaaanyway, believe it or not, I'm a big PSBs fan, mainly because i'm into so many of their influences. I can't wait for the album, but less so for the video. (Little Britain is so over). I'm also seeing them at the northern Potemkin performance in Newcastle on May 1st! Whoo!

Chris looks very hot in the first Opportunities video. I'd love to bugger him there. These days I think Neil is much better looking.

Thanks for that. It's quite good, although I'm not sure I understand the symbol behind their being bound on their chairs.

Oh, cool. Can't wait to see the whole thing.
First impression: great art design. The visuals don't seem to have much to do with the political gist of the song, but maybe that part comes in the last minute-and-seventeen-seconds to be aired tomorrow.

I just heard "I'm With Stupid" for the first time about three days ago. It is a nagging chorus, even if as someone pointed out earlier, it seems a bit lazy. I'm looking forward to seeing the vid later.
What do poster here think are the chances of it going top 5?
If the rest of the LP is as good and PSB keep up the high standard, the future of adult-pop is in safe strong-yet-elegant hands.

I'm really not sure about the video, I love the song but I just imagine the video will, like Madonna's "Music" video, just look absolutely awful with hindsight in a few years.
