The childlike girl - is she called Diana? - is an exact cross between Alyssa Milano and a cabbage patch kid. Accurate!! Didn't Matt Rogers look like Obese Homer on the results show?

Diana Degarmo is a cyborg. I bet she sang that song exactly the same in her rehearsals. Not a single bum note throughout. Maybe she's just very good, but it freaks me out that a 16 year old can sing like that.. I agree that she probably is a cyborg. She's the sort of girl who sang "Put on a Happy Face" with perfect pitch and a costume for her grade school choir audition. I don't trust her, and I think it's entirely possible that she'll try to sabotage the other contestants. If I were them, I wouldn't eat anything she whipped up in the communal kitchen!

Friday's show reminded me why I hate Clay Aitken. As soon as I saw him I felt ill. It's just everything about him - his voice (particularly speaking although I'm not keen on his singing either), his eyes (when he closes them when he sings, eugh!), his skin, his hair, his clothes - yuck yuck yuck!
I don't know what you mean about the Ford/Coke adverts?
The medleys are probably my favourite bit of the show. They're so funny and they usually save the most well known songs of the theme for it. I loved last weeks. I have to say I shamefully enjoyed the performances of God Bless The USA last year. I know all the words! I don't sound too silly singing it as I am half American. Not sure if I'm proud of it but I am proud that my relatives are from the most brilliantly named town on Earth and hillbilly central - Baldknob, Arkansas!
I was so excited to see Jennifer Hudson in the bottom two. Although she has a good enough voice, she is so over-dramatic which really annoys me. She also reminds me of Mercutio in drag from Baz Luhrman's Romeo & Juliet. I think she even sang Young Hearts Run Free one week.
I had high hopes for John Stevens but he is pretty boring. His voice sounds just like Malachi's. Jon-Peter and George are growing on me - loved their songs this week. Diana was very good, but she reminds me of Sonia! I don't want to like her but I was quite impressed considering she is only my age but sang quite maturely, if such a thing is possible. I did like Leah at first, mainly cos it would be too funny if the American Idol was Bulgarian, but she deserved to go if anyone did. Amy wasn't great either - should go next. I agree that no boys will go for a few weeks. I loved the two Hawaiian girls' videos - they and their families are all so cute! But I wasn't as impressed by Jasmine's performance as the judges were. I can see how she's a ver ygood and controlled singer, but I was just a bit bored. Maybe it was the song, I didn't like it. Camile has a lovely sounding voice but needs it to be more powerful. I think she has potential to be great.
I also loved that "Seacrest Out" thing. Imagine if Ant or Dec did that - "McPartlin Out!" That would be very funny.

It's all about Jasmine Trias. She is absolutely amazing. The one contestant who can really sing, but doesn't oversing. And she's stunning - she just 'looks' like a pop idol.
The three black girls can all sing, but try way too hard - plus I don't think any of them have anything particularly unique about them.
All the blokes are awful. The ginger guy has one of the worst voices I've ever heard. I don't understand why he's in the final 12.
Diana has a really great natural voice, but is a bit annoying.

Get ready for tonight's show - featuring Kimberly Locke (aka K-Lo) singing her wonderful new song "8th World Wonder." It's possibly the best single to come from an American Idol has-been!
ps - Goodbye Camille! You suck.

If ever someone had 'IT' it's her. Even before she sang a note you could just feel she was gonna be something special and then with her performance she didn't disappoint. I kinda think I like the sound of the other Hawaian girls voice too but her nerves totally took over. It was quite painful to watch, she looked scared shitless. I actually think it's a shame Leah went. She might have given the worse (though I'm not sure it was) performance but I thought there was potential there. With a bit of confidence, a bit of coaching and bit of polishing there was the makings of a good little popstar. She had that certain bit of something that some of the others lack, I can see why Paula picked her.

Help me someone. Who was the girl we saw in the auditions who wore all 50s clothes and all pink and wanted a car from the 1950's? Mark(nyc) suggested it was amy adams but i don't think it was.

And so we say goodbye to Amy Adams.
John Stevens was truely awful. He shouldve gone really. I cant believe he didnt even make the bottom three. The frequent close ups of him crying just made me think yes feel bad about her going, you know it shouldve been you!

American Idol this week was weird. I don't know what it was? HORRIBLE editing on ITV2 perhaps? Anyway, here's what I thought....
Camille Velasco - HAHAHAHAHAHA! She just can't dance! What is it with the faces she pulls when singing, hate to say, but she makes BIg Mac (Michelle McManus, for those of you who don't know) look good. Rating: 3/10
Jon Peter Lewis - His voice is just weird. I can see his appeal, but an American Idol he is not. Rating: 2.5/10
LaToya - Not her best performance, and it is a fact that she sounds screechy when she hits high notes. Overall, I thought she was good. Rating: 7/10
Amy Adams - An absolutley forgettable performance, but she still didn't deserve to go. Rating: 5.5/10
John Stevens - WTF was THAT!?! NEXT!! Rating: -3/10
Jennifer Hudson - I agreed with Randy. She oversang the song. She can sing, but she just seems TOO much of cruise ship material. Rating: 6/10
Jasmine Trias - Okay, this girl can sing, but surely she't not THAT good? She failed to hit the high notes properly (something that has been common with her throughout this competition), and sounds like a weak Xtina. Hoever, it was a step up from last week. Rating: 7.5/10
Diana DeGarmo - This performance had 'cheesy' written all over it, but she made up with vocals. Although she sounded bum in some parts, this girl has got some mad range. Rating: 6/10
Fantasia Barrino - Another great performance! It seems like she can do no wrong. My only critisicms were, she turned her back to the audience too much, and her pronounciation of some words i.e in the first week she sung s(h)inged, s(h)ealed, delivered, and she also gave us s(h)omthing to talk about! Rating: 9/10
George Huff - Best performance of the night (obviously)! The final 3 lineup should consist of, George, LaToya and Fantasia. Rating: 10/10
Overall, a pretty dissappointing show. Can someone tell me why the fuck is Paula a judge if she is not going to critisize! The special judges were not of any help to the show either. John Stevens HAS to go next week, I am fed up with his stupid monotone talking with tune "singing"!

Is John really Jenny Frost in disguise? Oh no she doesnt manage the tune bit.
The editing IS crazy. Not only that but they start playing the music before Simon has finished talking.
I'm starting to want Diana to win in some really strange way. Some of the others are starting to get a bit over confident about how well they will do.

Oh good, another Diana fan. I thought I was alone there. I think she’s great, amazing vocals (possibly the best in the competition) let down by the atrocious styling and pageant queen performances. She can grow out of both of these – anyone see VH1’s Xtina and Britney ‘Behind the Music’ early stuff?
I do think Fantasia is the winner, she excels in every theme and has such amazing stage presence. George, even though he seems a nice guy and good singer, puts me in mind of Lenny from ‘Of Mice and Men’ every time I see him! At some point, someone’s going to shoot him out of kindness, right?
I’m really glad that La Toya was bottom 3 this time. She was the main guilty party when it came to overconfidence, Jasmine is another one but seems to be getting away with it due to the incessant flower in the hair and wide-eyed routine.
Elton John week next – big yay for campy, bitchy, queeny comments (and that’s just Simon!). Two Brits on the panel, we may actually get them talking sense.

John's talking wasn't even in tune. It had to be the worse performance I've seen in the finals of any Pop Idol show. Worse than Rosie screeching Winner Takes it All, although not quite a splendidly spectacular. Nothing he does will ever be remotely spectacular unless staying in counts.
LaToya London will benefit from being in the bottom three. She's good, but not as good as it looks like she thinks she is. The complements she got the first week seemed to go to her head.
George and Fantasia are the best. Best vocally and give good entertainment, but I echo the annoyance about her turning her back to the camera. She can learn that.
Scary pageant girl scares me. She should grow out of it eventually, but it's entrenched in her. I hope she doesn't win, goes away for a bit then comes back as a real person.

John Stevens really has outstayed his welcome.
He can't sing, and he has ZERO personality whatsoever.

Oh Jesus, it's all coming back to me - his chat with Seacrest after his King of the Road performance, in which John's answers included: "It's nice", "Fine", "Yeah" and "Good". If you want a larf, watch the Jaded Journalist's interview with him in the Photos and Videos section of idolonfox.com, he hasn't got a fucking clue what's going on!

You're right, it hasn't happened. However, anyone who thinks Diana has a prayer of winning this season is seriously deluded. I still think it will be one of the Hawaiian girls! This week is THE MUSIC OF ELTON JOHN!!! I'm fucking excited.

He's saved that for the hair!
This is the exact same reason why I like Diana. American Idol was made for people like her. She won't win it (this is Fantasia's game), but I hope she does gain a career in music. Like Britney, Xtina, Justin etc. it's the only "job" you can see her doing.
