Oh! I thought you were asking if Kelly had sued 19 yet, not Michelle!
What a hilarious misunderstanding!
Hey though, what's the story with the TV schedule for the finale? I presume there are two nights, one where they sing and one where they sing again but with the results, and TV3 here in Oireland, are showing something on Thursday and something else on Saturday night - if the actual results are broadcast in America on Thursday night, I'll surely have found out by the weekend.
Not that I really care who wins. As long as it's not Diana.

I'm more interested in the documentary about Simon Cowell with Kate Thornton. Her taking the piss out of him is something that would make the long, long hours of American Idol a lot more enjoyable.
I've become really bored with it over the last few weeks (since John finally left), but I feel obliged to keep watching until the end.
*Go Fantasia*

According the always-fabulous Kristin over at E! Online, all is not well in the Idol camp:

Here's how the Finale is going to happen: Tonight, a one-hour festival of song where Diana and Fantasia battle it out. The actual "results" show finale will be a two-hour festival of song with many guests and a look back at season 3. It airs tomorrow evening in the States. Thank God some people are rooting for Diana. I only care 50% as much as I used to, however.

Well its results night tonight in America. I dont mind finding out in advance of actually seeing it who wins, but for the benefit of people who dont want to know, will the result be posted on the PJ daily pop briefing?

That's a good question! It will be hard to avoid news stories about the winner, but the news will be announced on here within minutes anyway out of respect we should refrain from posting it immediately on here.
Last night's competition was OK. Diana did pretty well, Fantasia's first song was fucking awful but she rocked the house later on....so far it's all by the books.
Diana suddenly looks 36 instead of 16. It's freaky.

I've already read it elsewhere by accident. It's going to be virtually impossible to avoid until Friday night, but it would be nice if the result wasn't posted straight away. Give Victoria Newton the chance to exclusively reveal the results to us.

So! The winner won. Whatever.
The night belonged to Kelly Clarkson*, as I knew it would. She was (apart from the outfit) ssssensational! And this is me being objective y'all, not letting my superfandom get in the way!
Not such a good reaction to Tamyra Gray's rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner. Everything I have read about that seems to be equally vitriolic about the performance. But then, she's been terrible and weird every appearance this season. From someone at televisionwithoutpity:
She WAS great in Season One, so that's a shame.
*I've only actually seen the Kelly bits, but I still feel I can make blanket statements about the entire show.

So thats it for another year. What an anti-climax. Agreed. Within 20 minutes of the start of the show Simon Cowell had said "I'm just really tired" and Paula gushed that she couldn't wait for the show to end because "they need to get on with their careers" {It can wait for a few hours, honey} etc. etc. The saddest thing was the "parade" of C-list celebrities Fox threatened bribed to show up and Diana's totally cresfallen "she's my girl" concession speech to FantaSEEYA. Then, at the insane conclusion, Fantasia's own family were barred from the stage! {this bit will be edited out for Europe I'm sure} Tragic! I'm NOT a Kelly Clarkson superfan, but I thought she was great last night {bar the dress and metallic eyeshadow} The song was perfect and very moving, even though the lyrics seemed to have been written by a 14-year old. Tamyra was FUCKING DREADFUL again!!!!!!! It's over. Sigh.

I've not seen this yet - a bit sad that I know the outcome though.
In related news, I got the Tamyra album, and it's absolutely freakin' excellent!

I tried my best not to find out who won (although it was obvious) by not reading this thread or the papers. However when signing into my hotmail account up flashed a link with the winners face on! How annoying! The thing that made me laugh in the final show was the out-take with the make up girl mistaking Barry Manilow for the black guy on the keyboard! And the other woman's comment: 'Glad I didn't say "give Barry a little colour!"'

As far as I know, Diana has a single coming out, it was on Amazon. A triple A side of Dreams, Don't Cry Out Loud and I Believe. its #53 on the Amazon chart.
Fantasia on the other hand is currently at #10 in the sales list, her triple A side is I Believe, Chain Of Fools and Summertime...
