Vonzell has been my favourite since the very beginning of American Idol and i remeber when she walked in with her pink and green shoes and belt and top and i was like aaaaaaahhh i love you! She's so cool, yet not over confident <cough>MARIO<cough> I'm glad that unnamed person decided to fuck off!

I really like Bo, I think Constantine is a bit fake. Vonzell or Bo for me to win.

I am absolutely crushed. I don't think I can bring myself to watch this episode, never mind the rest of the series. I hate the stupid, dumb ass american voting public, who voted for blandometer favourites Carrie, AFed, Scott and Anwar over Nadia. And Vonzell, whilst being fairly likeable, is no 'Idol'. I am heartbroken, and think it'll take me a long time to recover. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

Considering Nadia has thanked God for getting through stage by stage, she's probably thanking God now too, as failure would clearly be in her masterplan alongside the success he plotted for her.
Either that or the Pope had her on speeddial before he pop(p)ed off...

I feel your pain *hug/pint depending on how you're inclined* Thank You. I am now listening to my Nadia MP3's to ease the pain. 'As Long As He Needs Me' is bringing a tear to my eye. What if she doesn't get a deal??

Either that or the combined stress of singlehandedly supporting Nadia and Scott got too much for God, hence both of them being in the bottom three this week.

She'll get a deal. The fabulous always do. Well.... The track record of fomer American Idol cast-offs has not been good at all. It's a ticket to oblivion, or worse, a touring production of Lion King. Please prove me wrong Nadia! She elicited more positive emotions from me than normal.

*SPOILER ALERT* . It's on the website, but some may not yet know that Nadia was voted off. What a shame! I sincerely can't believe she was voted off and Anthony and Scott both remain!? Pop injustice! Please don't do that. Whether you preface it with *SPOILER* or not there is no need to tell us who is eliminated. If we want to know who leaves we can always go to the AI website ourselves but seeing as we cannot view the show until Friday nobody wants to be told by you before we've had the chance to watch ourselves.

I want Scott to leave too-there is nothing I like about him. Poor Nadia-as it is always said it's all about the song choice, and she chose a bad one(I for one had never heard it before)

I really can't see why america put Scott, Anwar and Anthony before Nadia!?
Scott is an extremely scarey looking freak, and he seriously creeps me out.
Anwar put as much energy into a song as a broken light bulb has. he's boring.
Anthony is just a nick carter wannabe with a hole in his throat. He picks really cheesy songs and sings them even cheesier.
I think Nadia is gone because of song. I just hope the same doesnt happen to Carrie...... the only DECENT song choice she's made so far was 'alone'.
C'mon america.....ditch the 3 dullies.

I really can't see why america put Scott, Anwar and Anthony before Nadia!? ...ditch the 3 dullies. America is such a big place, and the audience for AI reflects the diversity. All the pre-teen girls (and a few boys) love Anwar because he's so cute and gentle. Adult viewers may have an entirely different view of Anwar, however, which will probably sink him shortly. He can sing modestly well after all... Anthony F. is also getting some heartthrob votes and probably a fair number of people who identify with his "American Dream" story...it's hard not to root for him in a way, as bland and talentless as he is. As for Scott....there's no nice way of saying this, but he's pure American White Trash. The trailer park set are texting their votes on their breaks at Wal-Mart.

p.s. This week's show is fab. And Paula has come out in our People magazine once again denying rumors of a drug problem. The interview is mildly insane, which is what we've come to expect from Dear Paula.
The results are mildly shocking.

We're never going to be rid of Scott, are we? Grrrr. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I did find Carrie's attempt to explain the lyrics of 'MacArthur Park' hilarious, though, even if her attempt to sing it was excruciating.

We're never going to be rid of Scott, are we? Grrrr. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) We are. Don't you worry. It's been quite clear for quite a long time that Carrie will win, and that Constantine or possibly Bo will be runner-up. Scott has been in the bottom three way too many times to survive for long. This week's show was the least interesting of its kind I've seen. (I've watched PI-2, AI-3 and this one.) It's almost as if the real problem with Anthony and Scott is that they're too good. They don't work as straw men as effectively as they should. Especially when compared with this year's "good ones", because they're not that much better. This week Vonzell felt screechy, Anwar felt screechy, Carrie felt bland. Only Bo was OK, but he wasn't very memorable either.

I disagree entirely. Well, actually I agree about Vonzell and Anwar (not too bothered that he's gone), but Bo was excellent. OK so I didn't really know the song, but charisma plays a big part of the perception of talent, and whatever you think of the latter, Bo clearly has the former in spades. Put it this way... I would. Carrie's fine but i'm just not that interested in her. Shouldn't it be a bloke this year anyway?

I must admit that Anwar was getting very, very dull. He was one of my favourites and I've been rooting for him, hence excusing him being a bit shit, but it was going on for too many weeks. I still think he's a great singer, and he is very good-looking, but he has failed to communicate any passion for too long and I now I think his early spine tingly performances were flukes. He could still be very good, but he needs to work on something and I'm not sure what.
I hate Scott, and I've never thought he was anything beyond competent at singing, however this week he did turn in one of the better vocal performances. I still hate him.
Now my favourites have gone I'll probably root for Carrie, but it's half-hearted. Her McArthur Park explanation was amusing, and no-one from AI has done the country thing which she does very well and there is such a massive market for it that it would make sense for her to go off in that direction. I think her potential fan-base won't be put off by her background either, which is why Simon is convinced she'll sell so well without posing any real threat to the previous winners.
I'm also quite partial to Bo, and I'd be very happy for him to win, except that I don't know how well his fan-base will hold up to post-Idol backlash.

This show lacked one thing this week - Nadia. It just wasn't the same.
WHilst there are competent singers in the competition, no one really has any star quality. I can see Carrie doing well - I thought she was the best she's been this week. But I've still to get any 'wow' factor from her. Scott and Anthony are just 'meh'. Constantine grosses me out with his constant pouting and smouldering, and Bo, whilst being quite good this week, is just far too much of a rock cliche for me.
Vonzell is likeable, but I still don't think she's amazing........

I loved Nadia too and I'm missing her already as they say Stateside. Anwar was just too beautiful for his own good and had to go. His dancing was cringeworthy too and sealed his fate.
I love me who do you like Constantine must be eliminated - send in Doctor Who.
I agree Fluff, how are the 'real rockers' going to reconcile Bo winning Pop Idol for fuck's sake?
Mind you, that's the thing. Is it American Idol or American POP Idol? If it's pop idol then Carrie won't do either really.
I thought Vonzell totally rocked this week though.
Death to Scott.
And Anthony bless him - who cares?

Not that I'm remotely cynical about this, you understand. Oh, there's no reason to be cynical about American Idol! It's not AT ALL rigged, nor is it really a vehicle for advertising dollars and a moderately exploitive show about crushing dreams...no.... Certainly a white man won't win this year, that would be rather...convenient demographically.

I've never been at all annoyed with the results of AI in the past. A few people I've liked have gone too early and Clay Aitken did come 2nd, but generally the programme has always gone fairly smoothly which is why I like it. And I know that if someone awful wins we won't have to see them over here very much, if at all. But now my 3 favourites have left in a row in the first half of the finals, leaving me with only Vonzell to root for, who is like a reserve of a reserve of a reserve choice. She is ace enough but she's no American Idol and she's not going to win. I'm definitely seeing a Carrie/Constantine final now, since neither of them have ever been in the bottom 3. I think Anthony (who has been slowly improving and is a young, cute-ish blonde white boy with a sob story - he's bound to go far!) will be 3rd, followed by Bo, Vonzell and please Scott out this week!
